2023-2024 Season Review
The Pine City Area boys' hockey season was a rollercoaster of excitement, teamwork and determination. Fans were treated to intense match-ups, jaw dropping goals, memorable cellys and heart stopping saves. From the first drop of the puck to the final buzzer, players showcased their skills, passion and sportsmanship on the ice. The Dragons finished the 2023-2024 season with a 12-14 record. The Dragons had a tough schedule again this year being in the very competitive Mississippi 8 for the fourth consecutive year. The Dragons finished 5th in the conference with a 5-7 record. The Dragons played half of their games against opponents that were ranked in the top 25 in the state.

Comeback player of the year - Cody Klein
Hardest Worker - Blake Painovich
Goaltender of the year - Oscar Gribauval
Blueline award - Logan Kirby
Offensive player of the year - Gavin Broz
Team MVP - McCall Leger
Beau Berglund Character award - Gavin Broz
Mississippi 8 awards:
All conference honorable mention - Blake Painovich, Oscar Gribauval and Hunter Haug
All Conference - Logan Kirby, McCall Leger, Gavin Broz
Mississippi 8 all first team - Logan Kirby - defensemen
The Dragons as a team also earned the Mississippi 8 All Conference Academic award and were Section 5A academic champions.
